STOP PRESS
We are arranging a run on the 1st August in memory of Karl Hiem who lost his long fight against illness just before the CTC Run last year. Although Karl lived in Kent he came to Yorkshire each year for the CTC Run and to enjoy our local runs around the Helmsley area, the Hanbleton Hills, and the Yorkshire Moors. Hence the Karl Hiem Memorial Run organised by Sherwood Grimshaw and Ray Parkin. There will be two starting points, Tadcaster and Easingwold, before the run out to Helmsley and wherever else takes your fancy. The run passes through several areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and you may come across the odd gentle incline which I think others may call hills.
Welcome to the `Yorkshire Section` news page.

We a very active section of the NACC organising a series of road runs throughout the year. We also meet socially on the evening of the second Thursday each month at the Coach & Horses PH at Fairburn on the old A1 just north of the M62.

The events we organise are varied from 20 mile evening runs through to the annual 142 mile Coast to Coast Run` held in June each year. As well as our weekend runs we also have our `Wednesday Wheelers` outings throughout the year for those who are retired, rich enough not to work, or for anyone who can get a `sick note` for the day.

Our 2010 event calendar includes the following:
