CLUB CALENDAR

Please Remember: If you want to organise a Club-permit event and wish information to appear in Buzzing in time, the Events Secretary must be informed in writing at least 2 calendar months before the event. Organisers should obtain a permit & signing on sheets so that the Club's public liability insurance covers it. Events organised at short notice (min 28 days), apply in writing to the Events Secretary to ensure issue of a permit. There's no guarantee short-notice events will be publicised in Buzzing, but we will do our best.

Signing-on sheets must be returned within 14 days of holding the event. The rule for riding on NACC events is NO MEMBERSHIP CARD - NO RIDE. Those who cannot produce a valid card have to pay the day membership fee. All participants must personally sign the official sign-on sheet issued by the Events Secretary.

Events shown in bold below are official NACC events, those not shown in bold are non-NACC events which may require a day membership, unless you have dual membership.

NACC events require the organiser to obtain a permit for insurance purposes. If you need a permit application form you can download one here.

Dec 28 2008 GRANADALAND SECTION - HANGOVER RUN
The date is set:- Sunday 28 December 2008 . Put it in your diary now! We will meet at around 10.30 for an 11am start. This year, the venue is The Great House Barn, Rivington, - known locally as Rivington Bottom Barn. There's ample car parking, and although this venue is busy every weekend throughout the year and can be expected to be very busy on the first weekend after Christmas, there should be no problem parking at this time of the morning. Immediately across the road is the long drive up to Rivington Hall Barn which is a quarter mile long linear car park, so take your pick! The Great House Barn is warm, serves meals and drinks, and has loos. What more could you want? Rivington Hall Barn is a gathering point for bikers every Sunday, so lets show them some real machinery!
Post Code for the venue is BL6 7SB, and for those of you with an eager mouse, click on www.rivingtonhallbarn.co.uk for further details, location map, etc. The route (ah, the Route!) - that has yet to be decided, but expect it to be around 30 miles in length, entirely flat and cyclemotor friendly, (as usual), and we aim to complete it in daylight so that Martin's lack of lights doesn't cause a problem.
Telephone Derek on 07712 814005 if you want to know more. So, with shorts and shades, and factor 30 suncream - be there!
