Tel. 01904-704373 email; jdcasper@btinternet.com OH NO!, NOT AFTER WHAT HAPPENED LAST YEAR THE ALTERNATIVE Coast to Coast Run (or 'nurtsaocottsaoc' if you prefer) HAVE YOU NOT YET SUFFERED ENOUGH? 21st June 2010 `The Alternative Coast to Coast Run` The 13th Annual `Coast to Coast Run` takes place this year over the weekend of the 19th/20th of June running from Hartlepool to Whitehaven a distance of 142 miles. For most participants the 142 mile ride finishes at The Beacon on the quayside at Whitehaven on Sunday afternoon. However a few foolish, nay hardened enthusiasts have expressed a wish to ride back to Hartlepool in style rather than slum it in a van. So after a night's rest and recuperation in t'pub the Alternative Coast to Coast Run will leave St. Bees at 9.30 AM on Monday 21st June. You've all experienced the plunge down Hartside, now you can what its like to attempt to coax your underpowered machines up using the West to East route. At least you should have the prevailing wind behind you to help assist the LPA you may well need. So if you fancy 142 miles in a day, or 284 miles over the weekend, please contact me. Don't forget that this run will earn you two points towards your elusive NACC Riders Badge, that's a total of four points for the weekend. Why not come along and join in the fun. David Casper.
